Engaging the “in between” spaces, from virtual to physical realities, In Plain Site responds to the negative space between two buildings as a place of reveal for hidden communities. One high-powered spotlight illuminates the cross section as performative space. This performance piece begins with a movement/dance collaboration that dissolves into a continual flow of rising and falling immigrant community members as they move up and down risers into the beam of light. The flow is circular and infinite in movement.
